Jessica Sublett, LCSW, MSW

Psychotherapist, Children & Family Specialist (She/Her)

Does this sound familiar? Your once outgoing and cheerful child has become withdrawn and anxious. The activities they used to love now seem to cause them distress. Youโ€™re noticing more frequent outbursts, or perhaps theyโ€™ve become unusually quiet. You feel a pang of helplessness as you see your child struggle with emotions they canโ€™t yet fully understand or articulate. As a parent, itโ€™s natural to feel concerned and seek out support that can help your child navigate these difficult times.

Or perhaps your child is having trouble making friends and is often left out during social activities at school. Youโ€™ve heard their frustration and sadness, but youโ€™re not sure how to help them build the social skills they need to feel confident and connected. This can be a lonely experience for both you and your child, but you donโ€™t have to face it alone.

For children who have experienced trauma or tragedy, the journey to healing can be particularly challenging. I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to help them process their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Through tailored therapeutic interventions, I guide children and their families towards resilience and recovery, fostering a sense of hope and strength.

I am dedicated to helping children and families overcome these challenges and move forward in their life together. My therapeutic approach is integrative, tailoring interventions to each childโ€™s unique situation, and strengths-based, rooted in the belief that every child has the potential to thrive.

Children communicate and learn through play, and I utilize a wide variety of play therapy techniques to provide them with a safe space to express their emotions and solve complex problems. This approach allows children to feel understood and supported as they work through their struggles.

Creating a warm, accepting, and inclusive environment is paramount in my work. I meet my clients where they are, with no judgment, ensuring they feel safe and supported during our sessions. I find the most rewarding aspect of my work is witnessing the improvement in the child-parent relationship. By including parents or caregivers in the initial appointments and throughout the therapeutic process, I demonstrate the importance of their role and provide a cohesive support system for the child.

If you are looking for a compassionate and effective approach to help your child, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work towards fostering a healthier, happier future for your family. Letโ€™s schedule a time to talk about how I can help you start that journey today.
