Emily Bensinger, LPC, MA, AT-R

Psychotherapist, Registered Art Therapist (She/Her)

Has life become stressful and overwhelming? Are you struggling with a difficult transition in your life and having a hard time finding meaning? Whether you are experiencing overwhelming emotions, feeling lost, or disconnected- together we can explore these challenging and uncertain times.

I am a Master’s level Art Therapist and Psychotherapist with clinical experience providing art therapy and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors from diverse backgrounds in various settings. I work from a person-centered, humanistic, trauma-informed approach, and meet each of my clients exactly where they are in their healing journey to best meet their needs. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to my clinical work, as I strive to create a calm, safe, and accepting environment where all are welcome to express themselves freely and authentically.

Our sessions together can be traditional talk therapy focused or can provide space for creative artistic expression. I genuinely believe that healing is possible through the process of art making which can provide a creative, experiential, alternative means to cope with pain and process difficult emotions when words are not enough. People of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from Art Therapy. There is no skill or previous artistic experience necessary; just an openness to creativity, self-expression, and willingness to explore the unknown.

You are welcome here.
