The Here and Now

Sometimes heading in a new direction is hampered because we fear what is going to happen if we actually start moving forward. So maybe the best thing to do is to stop fixating on what’s ahead and hone in on NOW. Once today ends and tomorrow comes, keep focusing on the now. Be in the moment and not in the past. And not in the future either.I’m the type of person that's not very at ease when I'm in a situation and I don’t know how something is going to turn out, and sometimes this causes me to feel afraid to try. I can imagine so many “what ifs” that can hold me back. But I do know that taking steps today is the only way to reach a goal, and so starting small right now is the best way to open up a new door and start moving forward. So kick the fears to the curb by taking on something today that you have been putting off and just go for it. Do it slowly if you need to, but do it. Do the same thing tomorrow; and then the next day, the same. Pretty soon the anxiety and apprehension will slowly fizzle out, as you prove to yourself that you can succeed after all.The here and now. That’s what it’s all about. Carpe diem! ~Lissa12662013_963831250358250_3009491288466508924_n
