Groups

Unique to our DBT for teens program, we offer the opportunity for parents to meet once per month with facilitators to gain visibility into the skills their child is learning in group. Parents tell us that this added insight and training has been invaluable to reinforcing DBT skills at home and promoting understanding throughout the family.

Your teen need not continue with extremes of emotions and behaviors, and your family need not struggle alone. With DBT, you can transform your chaos into calm. Please call us today for more information.

DBT Skills Group for Teens - Virtual

NOW ENROLLING FOR SUMMER 2024 - SPACE IS VERY LIMITED

As a parent, seeing your teen struggle with extreme emotional reactions and impulsive actions can be incredibly difficult. You may feel like you’re walking on eggshells, fearing that any trigger could result in harmful behavior.

That is where Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can help. Our evidence-based program has been scientifically proven to help teens develop greater awareness of their emotions and to respond more effectively to difficult situations.

Our DBT Skills Therapy Group for teens will teach concrete coping strategies to deal with difficulties, reducing the likelihood of self-harm, self-medication, or self-sabotaging behaviors. Skills and strategies are taught in weekly 90-minute group sessions arranged in modules of 12 weeks each. Your teen can start with any module presently being offered, so you need not wait long to start.

With our personalized plan for taking care of themselves, your teen can reduce the likelihood of problematic behaviors and get off the emotional roller coaster. They will also learn how to communicate their needs clearly and create positive relationships that foster healthy self-esteem.

As a parent, you want the best for your daughter. You want her to grow up confident, resilient, and happy. But let’s face it, being a girl in today’s world can be tough. From societal pressures to navigating friendships, it’s not always easy. That’s why we are excited to announce a unique program that combines the power of support groups, music, and art therapy for girls.

Girls Support Girls is a program designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for girls to express themselves, share their feelings, and connect with others who understand them. Through group discussions and activities, our girls develop important life skills such as communication, empathy, and resilience. Facilitated by a licensed Music Therapist and an Art Therapist who specialize in working with girls, this group provides a structured and safe place that promotes self-talk, self-care, and healthy relationships.

What truly sets this group apart is our use of music and art therapy. These creative mediums offer a powerful way for our girls to explore their emotions and find healing through self-expression. Girls can use music to share or write songs that express their innermost thoughts and feelings, or explore their creativity through painting, drawing, or other media.

Girls Support Girls

Sanctuary believes in fostering a community of sisterhood and inclusivity. Whether your daughter is dealing with issues related to self-esteem, body image, friendships, or academic stress, Girls Support Girls is here to help. By combining support groups with music and art therapy, we provide a holistic approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing. Our goal is to help your daughter grow into a confident, empathetic, and self-aware young woman.

Please contact us today to secure a spot in this limited group. We look forward to connecting with your family and supporting your daughter on her journey to a happy and healthy life.

If you are experiencing grief, please know that you are not alone. Perhaps you’ve lost someone beloved to you. Perhaps someone you love is dying. Losing someone you love is one of life’s most painful and complex experiences, and it’s natural to feel a wide range of emotions during this time.

Grief can be an incredibly isolating and overwhelming experience. It’s a time when we may feel like we are the only ones who truly understand the depth of our pain. While our loss is deeply personal and unique, the truth is many others have gone through similar experiences and can offer a source of comfort and support.

Vastly different than support groups offered by local churches and other community organizations, Sanctuary Counseling’s Grief Support group is led by a certified thanatologist – a professional who has dedicated insight and expertise into the grief process. Here you will find connection with others who share your journey while being supported and guided by a professional therapist.

You need and deserve the gift of time and space to grieve and to experience community with others who understand. When you are ready, please reach out.

NOW ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS

How do you show up in your life?

If you're a self-aware man who wants to connect with other insightful men and engage in meaningful conversations and support one another through life's challenges, then this is the group for you.

Sanctuary Counseling wants to change the narrative around men’s mental health. We want men to feel safe and brave enough to be vulnerable with each other, so that they can grow, heal, and become their best selves. We want you to know that you are not alone in your struggles, and that when times get tough there are other men who have felt those same struggles too – and have learned from them.

We'll meet every other week, share some really good coffee, and listen to each other share stories about our lives and our problems. We'll encourage one other to take care of ourselves, each other, and those most important to us.

The Men’s Group

Whether it's our career, our relationships, our families —whatever it is, we'll have each other's backs. I’m going to be completely honest with you—this is not a group for those who want to talk about the latest sports scores or what happened on The Last of Us this week (ok maybe we will a bit on that last one). We're here to talk about our lives, our experiences, and how we can support one another in our struggles. We're here to share our stories and our hearts, so that we can better understand each other and ourselves.

Come find your guys. Come join us.

GROUP DATES: BIWEEKLY THURSDAYS 7:00PM - 8:00PM

SECOND GROUP ENROLLING APRIL 2024 - CALL TODAY!

We're a community of women who have been through it all. We've been there when you needed someone to cry with, and we've been there when you needed advice on how to handle a difficult situation. We know the challenges of being a woman in today's world, and we know that sometimes it can feel like nobody understands what it's like to be you.

That's why we started Authentic Support for Women. We believe that true connection is possible when we come together as women, and we have seen firsthand how powerful this can be for ourselves and our members. We want to help create an environment where your story is understood, where you feel like you belong, and where every member feels safe being vulnerable around each other. When you are going through a life transition, it can be hard to find the support you need. This group is a space - a community - for women to come together for genuine connection and mutual support as they empower and companion each other through life's many challenges.

Women in Transition

No matter what you're going through - from major life transitions to career changes or relationship struggles - we get it and we are here.

We meet once a week in-person at [venue name], where we share stories, laugh, cry, and grow together. We give each other space to explore ideas about what it means to be a woman today—what it means to be yourself, who you want to be, how you want to live your life. And we offer each other practical tools that help us navigate all of the challenges that come with being human: career challenges, relationship challenges, body image challenges…

Our goal is simply this: when you walk out of our meetings, you won't just feel better—you'll feel like you can DO better. And we want nothing more than for every woman who walks through our doors to feel empowered by their own strength and potential.

We're holding a space just for YOU. Come join us.
