The Daring Way™ Gathering – Summer Edition
June 28, 2019 – June 30, 2019
Connection. Support. Honesty.
Let’s be honest – we could all use a little more of each of these in our lives. There are so many reasons that you may have been drawn to this unique 3-Day Gathering and we can absolutely support each and every one of them. This ground-breaking retreat is based on the research and books of Brené Brown, created to empower each of us to cultivate connection in our lives and challenge the shame, guilt and fear that holds us back. If you haven’t heard of Brené Brown, be prepared! Her TED Talk is about to change your life!
Here is what we shall do together at the gathering… We will come together as a small group of like-minded, trustworthy, and accepting folks for a weekend retreat. Over the course of three days, we will explore what it means to be vulnerable, to show up in our lives with courage, and what wholehearted living can look like. We will do some expressive arts together. We will share meals together. We will make meaningful connections with others and especially with our own selves and our own stories. We will learn to write new endings by daring to go deep enough to own them by engaging in The Daring Way™. During our time together, we will also integrate the healing properties of our enchanting meditation labyrinth, a transformative tool meant to enhance reflection and deepen contemplation. Taking time for ourselves, establishing connections with like-minded individuals, and experiencing a sense of healthy vulnerability can aid in cultivating a more authentic lifestyle for many seasons to come.
Friday, June 28th (5:00pm – 9:00pm) Saturday, June 29th (10:00am – 7:00pm) Sunday, June 30th (12:00pm – 4:30pm) You are welcome here.. and we can’t wait to meet you. We want you to feel as supported and comfortable as possible, so please call us with any questions you may have! To register: Please call us at 610-385-3155 or register online through the Events tab! (The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.)
This retreat will be led by Heather Kramer Almquist, MA, LPC, CDWF.
